Part 5 ~ Denali National Park
The Denali National Park is the park that contains Mount McKinley. This park limits the use of private vehicles to the first 30 miles. Beyond that you take a bus, either private tour or park tour, to one of several locations along the 90 mile road. We took the park bus tour to the Eielson Visitor Center (mile 66), an 8 hour tour. The scenery was beautiful passing from boreal forest to artic tundra biomes. Below are some of our better pictures, including ones of Mount McKinley, which has only a chance of 30 % of being seen in the summer months. We were lucky!
