Alaska Ferry
Bellingham, WA to Haines, AK
We arrived at Bellingham, Washington on June 9, our scheduled departure date for a ride up the inside passage to Haines, Alaska on the SS Columbia. We found when we arrived that our boat had suffered a fire and we had to stand in line over 2 hours while they reorganized the people and vehicles onto 2 smaller vessels. We got on the M/V Matanuska that afternoon and had a very nice cruise indeed!
