Road signs. You know how they have in places a sign post where you put signs like, Chicago 160 miles, San Francisco 920 etc.? These are street direction and mileage signs to various communities in the world. This one was started by a lonely Royal Canadian Mounted Policeman who was assigned to Watson Lake, Yukon. He was to erect a highway sign post and he added one for his hometown. A tradition began and now there are over 45,000 signs in this veritable forest of posts!
